Why People Call Us Again
“We had two different painters try to fix the same ceiling crack — it always came back. Then Fast Patch fixed it, and it stayed fixed. Two years later, we had another repair, and we made sure to call them back.”
— Monroe O. , Northern NJ
There’s nothing fancy about what we do — we just show up, fix it right, and make sure it lasts. That’s why so much of our work comes from people we’ve helped before.
Before You Hire the Cheapest Guy in Town, Read This.
Don’t just spackle over that crack. Trust me — it’ll come back.
“Why should I trust you?” Read the reviews. And know this: like it says in the Bible, it’s all about the foundation. Skip the prep, ignore the right steps, and your repair won’t last.
So what kind of crack is it? Center of the ceiling? Inside corner? Outside corner bead? Each needs a different treatment — and there’s more than one kind of corner bead.
“Well, I called this guy named Zack…”
He said he could just spackle over it for $XX. He’s finishing a beer and one more cigarette before heading to Home Depot to grab a spackle blade and a bucket. He says, “Just Venmo me a deposit first so I can pay my bar tab.”
I couldn’t hear him that well — the game was blaring in the background.
“So why wouldn’t I hire that guy and save a whole ‘X’?”
You could. But when it fails, and it will, you’ll hire another Zack. And maybe another. And another. Four Zacks later, that “cheap fix” is way more expensive than my one correct repair.
Here’s what Zack skips:
- He doesn’t remove the old tape
- He doesn’t install screws to eliminate movement
- He skips scraping or sanding out old loose spackle
- He doesn’t cut relief for blistered seams
That’s the foundation work. It takes time. It’s not sexy. But it’s the reason my repairs last.
Every trade has their version of Zack. The homeowner always says, “But his price was so good.”
Was it really? You be the judge.
Success leaves clues. So does failure. Want to know who to trust?
Just read the reviews.
